Is the Eastside Trail stroller-friendly?

Yes, the entire trail is a 14-foot-wide paved path.

The surface is flat concrete from Piedmont Park to Reynoldstown. You will not encounter rough terrain or steep stairs. Strollers easily fit alongside pedestrians and cyclists. Remember to keep to the right side of the trail. Watch for e-bikes and scooters passing on your left.

Where are the best family rest stops?

Historic Fourth Ward Park offers quiet green space just off the trail.

This park features a serene stormwater detention pond and an outdoor theater. It takes about 45 minutes to explore. It is an excellent spot to step away from trail traffic. Piedmont Park at the northern end is another massive urban park. Families often spend one to two hours there before starting their walk.
